Once I had the idea of creating a website to showcase species from the Romanian flora, and so Spontana.org was born in 2009.

The website does not aim to cover the entire Romanian vascular flora - only species for which pictures are available are included.

This is not a scientific project. There might be inaccuracies in species identification, nomenclature and other information shown.

Anybody is welcome to contribute with pictures!
